Katy is a communications and reputation specialist with more than 30 years of experience in national broadcasting. Katy ran the BBC’s political operation during three General Elections, Brexit and the Covid crisis. This turbulent period in British politics gave her substantial negotiating skills and experience in providing top-level advice to senior leaders under extreme pressure and deadlines.
Katy led the BBC’s news and current affairs programmes, including the Six & Ten O’clock News, Today, Question Time and Radio 1 Newsbeat. She commissioned digital content for BBC online, Sounds and iPlayer and travelled extensively with Prime Ministers, covering stories all over the world including China, the Middle East, and the USA, and is a regular commentator on radio, TV and newspapers.
At Coulson Partners, Katy brings her experience in managing crisis, running campaigns and devising narratives that move the dial, to our range of clients.
